Why We Exist
Closing the digital skills gap across the North East
Digital exclusion holds people back
Too many people struggle with everyday technology — from online job applications to basic workplace systems. These barriers limit employment opportunities and career progression.
Confidence matters as much as skills
Fear of getting things wrong and negative past experiences with technology stop capable people from moving forward — even when opportunities exist.
Employers need practical digital capability
Local businesses need staff who are confident, cyber-aware, and prepared for modern workplaces. Accessible, hands-on training at this level remains limited.
Responsible & Sustainable Approach
We operate using Linux and open-source systems internally to keep costs low and sustainable, while still delivering training on:
- Microsoft 365 and Windows
- Apple/macOS environments
- Industry-standard workplace tools
- AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot
This approach ensures learners are prepared for real workplaces while funding is used responsibly and efficiently.
